In October 2025, PT. Mindotama Avia Teknik, in collaboration with SARA Electronic Instruments, successfully conducted an online training program on GEOBOX and HVSR equipment for the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) – Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia.

The training program was organized as part of PT. Mindotama Avia Teknik’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of technical capabilities and the effective utilization of advanced geophysical instrumentation in Indonesia. Through close cooperation with SARA Electronic Instruments, a leading manufacturer of seismic and geophysical monitoring equipment, the program provided participants with comprehensive knowledge regarding the operation, configuration, and application of GEOBOX and HVSR systems.

Throughout the online sessions, participants received detailed explanations on the technical features and functionality of the equipment, including data acquisition, signal processing, measurement procedures, and interpretation of results. Special emphasis was placed on the application of HVSR (Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio) methods for site characterization, microtremor analysis, and geological hazard assessment.

The training also included practical demonstrations, case studies, and interactive discussions designed to enhance participants’ understanding and operational readiness. By combining the expertise of SARA Electronic Instruments with PT. Mindotama Avia Teknik’s experience in seismic instrumentation and monitoring systems, the program delivered valuable technical insight to support the work of PVMBG in the field of volcanology and geological hazard mitigation.
